AWS Support Engineer
12+ Months Project
Phoenix, AZ(Hybrid Position)

Role Overview: The AWS Support Engineer will be responsible for providing expert-level technical support, resolving infrastructure issues, optimizing AWS environments, and ensuring smooth cloud operations for customers. This role requires deep expertise in AWS services, Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support

• Provide advanced technical support for AWS and Azure services, including security and roles
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, networking, security, and performance
• Debug and resolve issues involving application deployment, scaling, and monitoring

Infrastructure Management

• Assist with setup, configuration, and management of AWS environments
• Advise customers on cloud best practices, standards, and architectural patterns
• Support migration of on-premises workloads to AWS

Networking & Security

• Diagnose and resolve VPC-related issues:
  VPC, subnets, route tables, NAT gateways, security groups
• Provide guidance on IAM roles, policies, encryption, and cloud security
• Support configuration/troubleshooting of:
  • Load Balancers (ALB/NLB)
  • Route 53
  • Direct Connect

Performance Optimization

• Analyse and optimize performance of AWS resources and applications
• Recommend improvements for cost optimization, autoscaling, and resource allocation

Incident Management

• Respond to and resolve cloud-related incidents promptly
• Escalate complex issues to AWS product teams when required
• Follow through on resolution and ensure customer satisfaction

Key Skills & Technical Expertise:
Cloud Technologies:

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS core services: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch
• Working knowledge of Azure core services
• Strong experience with Terraform (TFE)
• Experience with CloudFormation and automation scripting (Python, Bash)

Containerization & Orchestration:

• Good understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and container platforms

CI/CD & Automation:

• End-to-end CI/CD deployment experience using any tool:
  Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, AWS CI/CD Pipeline, etc.
• Experience integrating automation and orchestration tools

Monitoring & Alerting:

• Strong experience using monitoring, logging, and alerting tools-
  ensuring reliability, performance, and availability of AWS workloads

Experience Required: 10+ years of IT experience with at least 5+ years in AWS-focused roles
Certifications: AWS Certification - Mandatory
