Direct Counsel has partnered with a Global law firm seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join our growing practice in a fully remote capacity. This role is ideal for a senior attorney with a strong client following who wants the autonomy to manage their practice while collaborating with a team of highly skilled peers. You'll handle complex commercial litigation matters and provide strategic counsel, all in a flexible environment with no billable-hour requirements and collection-based compensation.
Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in complex commercial, business, and civil litigation matters in California state and federal courts.
• Manage all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation.
• Provide strategic legal advice to clients on dispute resolution, risk management, and litigation avoidance.
• Draft and argue motions, prepare briefs, and handle depositions and witness preparation.
• Collaborate with clients to develop litigation strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee and direct junior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff when needed.
• Maintain and expand existing client relationships while developing new business opportunities.

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active California Bar membership required.
• Minimum of 8 years of litigation experience, preferably in commercial or complex civil matters.
• Portable book of business required.
• Experience with an AmLaw 200 firm preferred.
• Proven success managing litigation matters independently from inception through resolution.
• Strong advocacy, negotiation, and written/oral communication skills.
