We are looking for an enthusiastic and results-oriented Area Sales Manager to lead the sales of Thurne Middleby's food processing equipment throughout North America. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing effective sales strategies, fostering strong customer relationships, and meeting revenue goals. This remote position requires frequent travel to client locations, trade shows, and industry events.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the food processing industry, expanding market share, and driving revenue growth.
Client Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Technical Consultation:
Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions by recommending appropriate food processing equipment.
Market Analysis:
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify growth opportunities and competitive advantages.
Sales Forecasting & Reporting:
Prepare accurate sales forecasts, track key performance metrics, and report progress to senior management.
Negotiation & Closing:
Manage contract negotiations and close deals that align with company profitability and growth objectives.
Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with internal teams, including engineering, marketing, and customer service, to ensure seamless sales and after-sales support. Collaboration with food processing companies within Middleby is also essential.
Travel
Regular travel (50% or more) within North America to meet with clients, attend trade shows, and conduct on-site equipment demonstrations. International travel is required at certain times during the year.
