Our client, a prominent AmLaw 50 international law firm, is seeking a talented Mid to Senior-Level Associate Attorney to join their nationally-recognized Labor & Employment Practice Group in Los Angeles. This role offers the opportunity to take on significant responsibility in complex wage and hour class action and PAGA representative matters, with meaningful client interaction, mentorship opportunities, and a pathway toward partnership for driven, high-performing attorneys.

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
  • Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing
  • 4+ years of substantive labor & employment litigation experience, specifically with Wage & Hour class action and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) representative action matters
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and serve as lead or point person on litigation teams
  • Deposition and/or courtroom experience required
  • Employment counseling experience preferred
  • Experience supervising junior associates and staff, and serving as primary client contact
  • Proven project management skills and ability to independently advance case strategy
  • Collegial, team-oriented, driven, and committed to professional excellence
  • Excellent writing, research, and analytical competencies
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage Wage & Hour class and PAGA representative action litigation from inception through resolution
  • Serve as primary client contact and trusted advisor on case strategy and execution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery; conduct depositions; appear in court as needed
  • Oversee and coordinate e-discovery and written discovery efforts
  • Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and legal support staff
  • Collaborate with practice leaders to support business development and long-term practice growth initiatives

Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive Salary: Expected annual salary range of $310,000-$415,000, as determined by experience and market factors
