A company is looking for a Medicare Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and resolve claims on the discharged not final billed (DNFB) list
- Follow up on unpaid Medicare and Medicare Advantage claims in a timely manner
- Document all follow-up efforts in the accounts receivable system
Required Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of Medicare and Medicare Advantage billing
- Experience with the Direct Data Entry (DDE) system
- Ability to analyze and resolve claims issues
- Familiarity with inpatient only procedure lists
- Understanding of explanation of benefits/remittance advice
