About Us - Transitional Care Unit (TCU)/ ICU Step-Down Unit - The Transitional Care Unit is a 20-bed department consisting of multidisciplinary team of nurses, nurse technicians, and ancillary staff. - TCU serves Freeman and our community through caring for patients that are transitioning from ICU to Med-Surge level of care. - We serve a vast range of patient populations, from cardiac complications, respiratory distress, diabetes management, and many more. - Our team culture is built on the Freeman Five Star Promise: Compassion, Communication, Teamwork, Ownership, and Professionalism. What Youll Do. Under the direction of the nurse, performs clerical and receptionist duties associated with unit operations.
