Machine Operator Assistant

This position is responsible for producing product using high-speed paper converting equipment in compliance with Safety Programs and Quality Assurance Systems to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives.

Compensation includes a starting pay rate of $17.00/hour. Available shift: 2nd.

Responsibilities

Assist and function as back-up to Machine Operator to produce quality product at target machine speeds using safe work practices. Read & understand Production Order Packet (POP); prepare all machine components for production. Read, understand, and correctly complete daily paperwork. Follow designated procedures to requisition or return components & materials, inspect components & materials, install components & materials, complete pre & post production activities. Assist with set-up and/or change over activities within allotted time. Participate in Preventative Maintenance Activities as assigned. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Complete assigned duties in compliance with company policies & procedures. Actively engage in safety programs. Effectively communicate with team members across shifts. Assist and train other team members as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum of six months of experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably with a high-speed process. High School Diploma or GED is required. Eligible to work in the United States. Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen. Satisfactorily completes training courses as determined by management. Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation. Commitment to an accident-free and drug-free workplace. Willingness to work overtime as needed.
