Overview

Join the My HR Live Support (MHLS) Benefits team and help make a difference for all employees. The MHLS Benefits organization provides HR assistance to organizational employees through accurate, consistent, and timely responses to inquiries via phone, chats, and HR cases. The HR Assistant II serves as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and provides holistic case management services across financial, health, and internal review areas to meet compliance with corresponding benefit plans as defined by the organization.

The MHLS Benefits team is dedicated to servicing the Benefits space, earning trust by providing accurate information and resolving issues. This role requires critical thinking and fact-finding skills to support the entire benefits process from intake to case management.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and manage workload to meet SLAs and productivity goals.
  • Provide holistic case management by referencing available documentation (FAQs, knowledge base articles, standard operating procedures) and escalate when unresolved.
  • Respond to employee-impacting issues during benefits events with proper communication and documentation, even when information is limited.
  • Collaborate with partner teams to resolve cross-functional issues and contribute to policy updates and process improvements.
  • Adjust case management plans based on each employees changing needs and exercise strong judgment to balance process adherence with customer needs.
  • Demonstrate ownership, empathy, and high-quality customer service in fast-paced environments requiring rapid switching between communication channels.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in Benefits or Human Resources, preferably in a contact center or shared service environment.
  • Experience in fast-paced, rapidly changing work environments with the ability to adapt quickly.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to understand benefit terms and programs; strong judgment and decision-making.
  • High degree of ownership and ability to handle sensitive situations with care and empathy.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple communications forms, prioritize work, and execute with attention to detail while prioritizing customer needs.
  • Technical aptitude with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Preferred qualifications
  • Bilingual in Spanish (a plus but not required).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment. Benefits may include:
