Job Description

Join our dedicated team at Pilot! As a part of our commitment to supporting our employees, you will enjoy a competitive quarterly bonus, a schedule free of weekend work, and no on-call duties! Your work will primarily focus on ensuring the smooth operation of approximately 15 store locations near Joplin, MO, where you'll be dispatched from home and typically work 45-50+ hours weekly. Furthermore, you'll receive a company service vehicle, all necessary tools, equipment, and technology like a cellular phone/iPad and laptop.

The role involves performing installations, maintenance, and repairs of HVAC/R systems, food service equipment, plumbing, and electrical systems across various food and retail locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond effectively to service requests; troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair in line with warranty and industry standards.
  • Maintain clear communication with the service tech supervisor and store management regarding repair status.
  • Complete same-day work order repair notes and communicate them to your supervisor accurately.
  • Monitor and maintain truck stock to ensure all necessary parts are readily available.
  • Uphold standards for service vehicle maintenance, tools, and uniforms.
  • Inspect facility interiors and exteriors for safety and maintenance issues regularly.
  • Conduct repairs and activities in compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
  • Model behaviors that exemplify our company's dedication to customer and team member support.
  • Ensure all activities align with governing rules, regulations, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent certification required.
  • Valid state driver's license with a clean driving history is a must.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in maintaining commercial HVAC systems is required; certification is preferred.
  • Experience of three years in repairing commercial cooking or refrigeration equipment is essential.
  • Fundamental knowledge of commercial plumbing and electrical systems is necessary.
  • Understanding of OSHA guidelines and regulations is required.
  • Basic familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS) is beneficial.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking are important.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Intermediate math skills and the ability to read and interpret site drawings are required.
  • A collaborative spirit and attention to detail are vital.
  • The ability to work in congested areas during business hours is expected.
  • Strong customer service skills are necessary.
  • Minimal travel (less than 10%) will be required.
  • Ability to climb ladders and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in inclement weather.
  • Physical ability to bend, stoop, twist, crawl, and kneel as required.
