An Assembly Tech works as a part of the manufacturing team to assemble and install materials.
POSITION DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Assemble and install door hardware and test as required.
Structural weld parts
Comply with safety, quality, and productivity requirements and procedures
Regular/dependable attendance required
Flexibility of work hours including overtime
Use of hand tools and machinery is required
Must be able to work well with little or no supervision
Participates in WWS's Continuous Improvement efforts by understanding his/her team's performance and actively implementing and supporting process improvements

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; 0-1 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
The associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock, vibration, and seasonal high/low temperatures and humidity. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud, requiring hearing protection. Must be willing and able to comply with all plant safety regulations including wearing appropriate PPE when on the production floor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Regularly required to stand, reach, bend, talk, hear, and move about the facility. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds, occasionally push up to 54 pounds and pull up to 54 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
